Super Middleweight boxer Chad ‘2 Slick’ Sugden will be looking to end the year on a high with another win when he returns to the ring next month to defend his unbeaten pro record.

After six weeks of rehab following an ankle injury, the Suggy’s Gym 22-year old is back to full fitness and entering the final phase of his training camp for the fight against Huddersfield’s Alistair Warren on Thursday 15 December.

Victory on the card of the aptly-named UNDEFEATED Dinner Show at Derby County FC’s iPro Stadium will take Chad’s record to five wins from five fights since his professional debut in March and see him move further up the UK rankings.

“This is exactly the sort of fight we want for Chad as he continues to build his reputation as the one to watch out for in the Super Middleweight division,” said his head coach and manager Dean Sugden. “Alistair is a highly-rated fighter who is currently just above Chad in the rankings so both men have everything to play for in Derby.”

“When he had to pull out of the fight scheduled for Saturday 19 November because of his injury, Chad promised his fans he’d be back in the ring before the end of the year. He’s kept that promise and now he’s determined to give everyone involved with Team 2 Slick something extra to celebrate in the run up to Christmas, as well as a taste of the great things in store for 2017.”

Doors open at the iPro Stadium at 6.30pm, with a two-course Christmas meal served at 7pm. “There may even be a few celebrity guests there for Chad’s fight and we hope some of them will be able to join us later for the official after party at The Atrium in Newark,” added Dean. “Everyone’s welcome to come along and celebrate with us there, whether or not they’re at the show itself.”
