I believe I’ve got the style to beat anybody

As the final countdown to this weekend’s British Light Heavyweight title fight begins, Chad looks back on his kickboxing career and his decision to make the switch to professional boxing…

GLORY got me the exposure I wanted on the big stage,” he says of days as a pro kickboxer. “But I always wanted to do boxing, I was always more of a boxing fan and I think I’m a better boxer than kickboxer anyway.

“I adapt to anything that’s in front of me really – if someone had come to all of my fights, they’d probably say every one was slightly different. I’ve got power in both hands and I believe I’ve got the style to beat anybody really.”

The Suggy’s Gym pro boxer’s clash with Shakan Pitters takes place on Saturday 22 August and will be broadcast live and free from 10pm on Channel 5
