2 Slick planning his return to the ring next month

Newark professional boxer Chad ‘2 Slick’ Sugden is planning his long-awaited return to the ring on Saturday 11 December at the world famous Circus Tavern in Purfleet, Essex.

“Since he last boxed on Sky Sports and Channel 5, Chad has been out of action following two shoulder injuries, one he was struggling with before his last match up and one he did in that one,” said his manager, coach and dad Dean Sugden.

“But after two operations, a lot of rehab and some hard work behind the scenes to get his shoulders and body ready for a return to boxing, I am absolutely delighted to say he will be walking back out into the ring next month.

“As always everyone’s support is much appreciated and here at Suggy’s Gym we plan to show that appreciation by making  XMAS BOX AT THE CIRCUS our very own Christmas event as a club. The venue and the atmosphere at the Circus Tavern are simply amazing – his brothers Regis and Bailey have both already competed there, now it’s Chad’s turn to follow in their footsteps and do so too.”

“I’m absolutely buzzing to be back boxing again and although this event seems to have come at short notice, my return has been on cards for some time,” said Chad.

“We were just waiting for the shoulders to be right and get all the necessary clearance from the specialists but now we’re good to go and I can’t wait to get back in there and do what I love to do.

“This will be the first time since lockdown that I’ve been out in the ring with a crowd there to support me and I’m really looking forward to having all my loyal fans, friends and family there in person next month to do just that.”

Ringside Table tickets priced £60 each (10 per table) and Standard Tickets priced £40 each can be reserved now by calling or texting Dean direct or via the ticket hotline 07816 840920 and transport is also available but strictly on a first come, first served basis.
